Enriching Montessori Curriculum
“LIGHTING THAT INNER SPARK BEGINS WITH THE CHILD’S INTERESTS.”

Enrichment Opportunities
Rising Sun Montessori Preschool offers many enrichment opportunities in addition to our daily curriculum and activities. Enrichment opportunities provide your child with quality classes and experiences that not only build a new skill but also their level of self-confidence.
We also run an after-school program called Friendship Clubbers is designed for older students, affording a more intimate and intensive learning setting focused on Kindergarten preparedness and peer group socialization. Friendship Clubbers concentrate on letters, numbers, reading, and writing skills while enjoying new friends and friendships made. Some of the enrichment opportunities that we offer include:
Music and Dance Classes
Our music and instrument classes include violin, guitar, banjo, and flute.
Spanish Exchange
Rising Sun Montessori School is founded on the aspiration to provide children with the opportunity and accessibility to learn a second language. Our teachers begin to introduce the Spanish language through basic Spanish words like colors, days of the week, and months of the year, counting numbers, playing games, and singing songs. We find this is a fun and constructive way to introduce the Spanish language to our early learners actively engaging in basic fluency of Spanish. This fundamental knowledge will prepare your child for their future within our diverse and multicultural world, where bilingual skills are highly desirable.
